Simply Earth October Subscription box

This month I was asked to do an unboxing of the the October Simply Earth Subscription box! This made me super excited for multiple reasons, for one, fall is my most favorite time of year, two, it's my birthday month and three, it's Halloween and all things fun and spooky! Be sure to check out Simply Earth (click here) and for a free bottle of oil or a $40 gift card, use coupon code:  CYNTHIAOLGRENFREE.  **details on this at the bottom of my post!

A little background on myself. I've been using essential oils now for about one year. After much research on what essential oil company was the best, I decided to give Simply Earth a try, a decision that I have never once regretted. I love this company!!  Great oils, at a fair price, and the subscription box has been my main go to.  It is SO important to use the proper dilution rates and to use your oils safely. Their recipes take the guess work out of it for you so you can be sure that you are being safe!

If you are new to essential oils you really can't go wrong with their subscription box.  Each month is a different theme from holiday boxes, to beauty products, to fighting off colds and making house hold cleaning products!  It's all there with simple easy to follow recipes.  They even provide the extras you need to make or use them once you make them, such as castile soap, carrier oils (fractionated coconut, camilla seed, jojoba, etc)!  If you use their oils and stick to their recipes you will not be disappointed.  Some of my favorite items that I've gotten to make over the past year have been, lip balm, hand sanitizer, room sprays, facial wash and of course their diffuser blends.  My husband is a big fan of the Point Pain roller blend (a mix of peppermint and eucalyptus with fractionated coconut oil).  I use this as a massage oil on his sore shoulder muscles once or twice a week.

Simply Earth's essential oils are 3rd party tested for purity from additives and chemicals/pesticides, as well as to ensure the essential compounds that make up each oil.  These oils are therapeutic grade essential oils of high quality. They source their ingredients from around the world so that the plants have a chance to thrive in the habitat best suited to them.

Let's open up October's box!

a thank you note from Simply Earth!

First thing I noticed when I opened my box was the Halloween theme!
Loved the print on the cards and the theme of the recipes!
I mean who wouldn't want to make the Monster Repellent Spray! :)

Let's see what oils we get this month!

Lime is a great citrus oil.  It's smells like fresh lime zest!

Cassia has a Cinnamon-like spicy and slighty woody scent.
Can't wait to put this into a diffuser blend!

Mandarin has the smell of sweet oranges.
It fits very well with this halloween themed box!

Frankincense is a warm, spicy, and woody odor that is haunting,
great for this time of year!

I cannot wait to make the recipes that came in this month's box!
What a great combo of oils and scents.  some sweet and some spicy.

Now that we know what oils we have, let's see what else came in the
box and how we can use those items to make the recipes, which
is my favorite part!

In the box you will receive two unscented tea light candles
that you will be able to scent with the essential oils.

Next I pulled out this jar.  It contains an unscented lotion
that will be used for making the upset tummy cream.
(for when you have had too much candy to eat!)

There are also two empty 15 ml bottles for mixing up plenty of
the Witches Brew and Trick or Treat diffuser blends!

There is also one 4 oz stainless steel spray bottle for
mixing up your Monster Repellent Spray!

They also include stickers to add to your bottles so you know what's in them!
They really do think of everything.

Here is the great news, you get all of these items in one box for the low cost of $39!  How can that be you ask?!  It's because Simply Earth cares about you, the one using their products.  They believe that everyone should have access to pure, therapeutic grade essential oils at a fair and reasonable price.  They also believe in giving back.  13% of all sales go to help organizations that are putting an end to human trafficking.  Organizations change each month.  It's great to know that when you purchase from this company you are also helping to change people's lives!  So not only does this company give you great high quality oils, it gives back to help change the world, one bottle of essential oil at a time. :)  Did I mention that I really love this company!

Are you excited about the essential oils and products I've shown you?  Do you want to join us as world changers?

spilled water, essential oils and disc golf...

yep, that's right, I was taking a drink from my cup before I started to type this post and sure enough it spilled it right down the front of me... Happy Thursday! :) I am still fighting a cold, but each day I feel better, yet worse. I'm hoping though that it means I'm nearing the end. One thing that has been helping is my diffuser from Simply Earth! I am so glad I found this company. They have great oils at a reasonable price and they support a great cause with each sale. Their immunity boost has been helping me feel better at work. The best part is I get a new box of oils and fun recipes at the beginning of each month. Can't wait to see what comes in January. I'll be sure to share it :) I am so ready for winter to be over already! haha. Mostly because I'm ready for Disc Golf season to start up again! Both my husband and I got new discs for Christmas, and I got a new bag! So I'm itching to get out there again and throw! Some of the discs are new to me so I'm looking forward to seeing how they work out! A few years ago I never thought I would actually enjoy playing. As the wife of someone who has disced for many years, it was very intimidating to play with him and his friends. One day, however, we went out with his sister and I didn't feel so awkward about my game, and I began to enjoy playing. I am still not near the level of player that my husband is (probably never will be) but there are still times that I have managed to beat him on a whole or two. We are both in it to have fun and enjoy the sport together. I remember the first time I ever played was when I lived in Grand Rapids MI and a couple of friends invited me to go. I had no clue what disc golf was or how to play, much less how to throw a disc. It was a rough round and because I did so bad, was never really interested in trying to play it again. Fast forward to present day, and now I can't wait for winter in MI to be over so I can get back out there. I love that my husband and I can share similar interests and do things that get us out of doors and enjoying time together as well as staying active and going to lots of really beautiful courses. Our honeymoon and vacations tend to center around where we can play disc golf... Here is to 2017! May it be a great year of continuing to be happy, healthy, active and enjoying the everyday moments that make life special.
