I know, everyone starts off the new year saying those exact words, but this year, I am taking it to heart. Granted its taken me a couple of weeks to get started, but I'm making a conscience decision to make some changes.
Last winter I purchased the PIYO dvds and told myself, I can do this. After one lesson, I stopped and just never put the dvds back in...
Fast forward to this year... I pulled those dvd's back out, got in touch with a Beach Body Coach, and signed up for a challenge package. This is my journey. I'm going to write and post things here for myself. To hold myself accountable and to maybe encourage someone else that just happens across this blog.
My goal: to build muscle, lose weight and create better eating habits for me and my husband.
Two day is day 2. My second day of shakeology, my second day at PIYO (really this is the start of my second week, but I missed a few days, so I'm counting this as my actual start week)
I am changing up my morning coffee routine for a shakeology. Yesterday, it did keep me going until lunch, so I will let you know how today goes.
PIYO is getting easier, although I am still working to get myself away from the beginner level. But one day at a time. I am only committing myself to one day at a time. Anything more and I don't think I would be as apt to stick with it.
When you think about how much in our lives can change just by eating better and exercising. So much of our health issues come from the choices we make when it comes to food and the lack of movement in our bodies. I could just try to lose weight without exercise, but then I'm left with a weak body. I want to be strong and mobile and to live out the best years of my life. I have dreams of what I want to do as I get older, so if I don't start really taking care of myself now, I may not be able to.
So here's to 2019, being 40 and making it my best year yet!
