 A little background on myself. I've been using essential oils now for about one year. After much research on what essential oil company was the best, I decided to give Simply Earth a try, a decision that I have never once regretted. I love this company!!  Great oils, at a fair price, and the subscription box has been my main go to.  It is SO important to use the proper dilution rates and to use your oils safely. If you are new to essential oils you really can't go wrong with their subscription box.  Each month is a different theme from holiday boxes, to beauty products, to fighting off colds and making house hold cleaning products!  It's all there with simple easy to follow recipes.  They even provide the extras you need to make or use them once you make them, such as castile soap, carrier oils (fractionated coconut, camilla seed, jojoba, etc)!  If you use their oils and stick to their recipes you will not be disappointed.  Some of my favorite items that I've gotten to make over the past year have been, lip balm, hand sanitizer, room sprays, facial wash and of course their diffuser blends.  My husband is a big fan of the Point Pain roller blend (a mix of peppermint and eucalyptus with fractionated coconut oil).  I use this as a massage oil on his sore shoulder muscles once or twice a week.

Let's see what oils we get this month!

Lime is a great citrus oil.  It's smells like fresh lime zest!

Cassia has a Cinnamon-like spicy and slighty woody scent.

Can't wait to put this into a diffuser blend!

Mandarin has the smell of sweet oranges.

It fits very well with this halloween themed box!

Frankincense is a warm, spicy, and woody odor that is haunting, 

great for this time of year!

I cannot wait to make the recipes that came in this month's box!

Now that we know what oils we have, let's see what else came in the

box and how we can use those items to make the recipes, which

is my favorite part!

In the box you will receive two unscented tea light candles

that you will be able to scent with the essential oils.

 Next I pulled out this jar.  It contains an unscented lotion

that will be used for making the upset tummy cream.

(for when you have had too much candy to eat!)

vacation and life goals....

I am nearing the end of a 5 day vacation from work.  It's been a great time.  No, I didn't travel anywhere, just put some time into my much neglected house, spending time with my dog and re-watching all of the Harry Potter movies.  I am trying to squeeze in the last one tonight. :)

Through may walks with my dog and using that time to think and plan, I ended up signing myself up for college classes.  So, if I can get my student aid figured out, I may be taking classes this fall?!

It would be a first for me to finally want to gain certification in a specific area of study, but I do love my job and want to learn all I can to do it more efficiently.  One should never stop learning!

I have set some high goals for myself this year.... work as many jobs as needed to get out of debt, go back to school and continue to build a natural home for me and my family.

I use Lavender for so many things, but one of my favorite uses is to put 3 or 4 drops on a wool dryer ball (also available from Simply Earth) in my dryer to make my clothes smell great!  I also love lavender in my body wash/shampoo.

I can't wait until the fall to try out different diffuser blends to make my house smell like the holidays!

So I hope that through my blog and social media, I can help to share my experiences with you in hopes that someone reading this will be able to make some choices that lead them to a more natural life free from all the chemicals we put on our bodies and surround ourselves with.  I was one that always had to have the bath and body works shower gels and lotions and candles, and its been a process to let go and go natural, but I'm sure glad I did.

Tomorrow its back to work, and I do believe I will be taking a diffuser blend to help keep my spirits up!

We don't stop

I can't get enough of Michael Franti!  I have been going to his profile on Spotify and just putting his songs on shuffle.  Definitely my go to, to bring a little sunshine into my days :)

It's been a good week.  Still fighting feeling sick, but I just keep my diffuser running with essential oils!
